Reviving the NWO in 2012: Part Two: The Build to TLC
Fantasy Booking by Michael Brown
The following article has been paid for by the Nwe World Order.
Welcome back to “Calling Spots.” This is the second of our three part series where we’ll be looking at how the WWE could potentially bring back the New World Order in 2012. Part one saw the debut of Dean Ambrose, who entered the company by beating down Vince McMahon. As revenge, McMahon placed him in a handicap match at Survivor Series against Sheamus and a returning Wade Barrett. Barrett was attacked and never made the match, while Ambrose gets the win over Sheamus through interference from Dolph Ziggler. This article will look at the build to the PPV after Survivor Series: Tables, Ladders and Chairs.
Reviving The NWO in 2012 Part 1: Survivor Series and the build up to it
Fantasy Booking by Michael Brown
I wrote an article here last week where I discussed why I don’t really believe the New World Order should be revived in any way, shape or form. While I still subscribe to that viewpoint (although writing this has got me psyched up for a revival IF it was done right), I couldn’t get the question out of my head: If I was in WWE creative, and I had to revive the NWO, how would I do it? A lot of the following is has been pulled from nowhere, so it is going to have gaps, but I think that I’ve come up with a scenario that could potentially make an NWO revival work and succeed a decade after the group’s final appearance.

When I first started watching professional wrestling around the age of 6 years-old, I had no idea about the backstage antics of wrestlers. For all intents and purposes, I assumed they were just amazing athletes (aside from Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan, who even then my parents told me they were suspected of taking anabolic steroids). Because of this, I was always a fan of the more athletic, technical, and acrobatic professional wrestlers, such as The Rockers, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and Bret “Hitman” Hart. I had no idea what drugs the wrestlers did, the alcohol they consumed, nor their intake of barbiturates, opiates, and anti-depressants they scarfed down by the handfuls. Needless to say, as I got older, it was much more apparent that a great deal of them did abuse these drugs.
The Return Of The NWO – By Michael Brown
The Following article has been paid for by the New World Order.
The New World Order is an emotive subjective amongst wrestling fans. In its’ heyday, the NWO was the hottest thing the wrestling world had ever seen. Ever since the stables’ last run in 2002, fans have been clamoring for a reformation, or the return of the New World Order. On one level this is understandable. The original stable in WCW was immensely popular. Hogan, Hall and Nash’s wrestling immortality was created through their time in being the original founders of the cutting edge group.
The Rock at the Royal Rumble: Long Term Booking in a Short Term World
Remember back in the eighties and early nineties when everybody was lining up to praise the then WWF for their long term booking strategy? It was the one thing we could point to and agree that WWF had over the likes of WCW, they had a story and they saw it through. And it was a good advantage to have until your main rival begins to kick your arse in the ratings by seemingly throwing faeces at a rotating wheel and seeing where it lands, and then urinating on it to see where they throw in the swerve.
