Donnie T is yet to win a title. But Donnie T expects to win Championship gold soon.
Donnie T is a man you may not have heard of before but he’s someone you will likely become very aware of in the near future.
I was first made aware of the Notorious Donnie T when I saw him and his tag partner Lou King Sharp wrestle together as the ‘Greatest Team Around’ and I was impressed by the big man’s (he looks huge compared to the diminutive Sharp) array of power moves and his brawling style. Luckilly I was able to catch up the man and find out his wrestling story.
Like a lot of people his age Donnie T grew up as a self described Hulkamaniac but after Hogan left the (then) WWF he became a fan of ‘The Hitman’ Bret Hart which seems somewhat fitting for a man who wrestles with a diamond handgun shaped belt buckle. As The Golden Era drew to a close and The Attitude Era began T’s love of wrestling grew and his new favorite wrestler became The Rock but he loved to keep up with WCW so on a Friday night he would try his best to watch as much as he could of both programmes as they were broad. He would “go back back & forth & forth with the channels like a was Wutang” (Donnie T is far cooler than I am, obviously).
When Donnie reached his early 20s he decided that he should try his hand at wrestling and attended one of Premier British Wrestling’s Academys. Although he enjoyed the training real life got in the way and a combination of his work and him being, in his words, “young and dumb” made him give up wrestling with no real intention of going back to it.
Unfortunately while away from wrestling Donnie, like a lot of young men, battled with depression and it wasn’t until one day in 2013 that one of his friends reminded him of how much he had enjoyed his training he decided to go back to the PBW Academy where he had originally trained. I asked if he had considered another training school and he said he would only have returned to PBW. Since his return to wrestling Donnie has seen his mental health improve. He told me “I think goin’ back was the best thing I have done l When you don’t do what you love it leaves a brother empty… I’ve made some really good mates too, I’m the best man be at one mate’s wedding in August so im happy to be back.”
The Donnie T Rex only has one setting and that is full speed so his aims in wrestling are to be as good as he can be and he hopes to one day be able to travel the world doing something he loves. He knows that the only way to achieve this is through hard work and he continues to give his all by not only training but also by participating in as many Wrestling seminars as he is able to. To date he has attended seminars held by wrestling talents such as Fergal Devitt, Drew Galloway, Paul London, Chris Masters, Zack Sabre Junior, Marty Scurll, Rampage Brown and many others.
Whether it is being the bodyguard for Lou King Sharp, wrestling solo or part of a number of tag teams/stables (ICW’s Facebook page has a hilarious video showing he recently joined forces with Saqib Ali and Prince Asad to form Pure Gangster, available here) Donnie T is guaranteed to entertain anyone in attendance. Getting to know the big man and hear his story made me appreciate a different side of wrestling and what the benefits of being involved in something you love can have on someone.
On behalf of the entire Calling Spots team I would like to thank Donnie T for taking the timw to speak to me and wish him all the best for the future. Cheers mate

If Donnie T could wrestle anyone from wrestling history or present day he would face Booker T with and Mr T as the special guest referee while Ice T does commentary. would be a one time thing that would be good to see.
He’d also love to wrestle either of the Coffeys so the match could be billed as Coffey vs T.
Donnie’s favourite drink is a nice hot cup of Donnie Tea.
Like fellow ICW wrestler Viper, Donnie T is a big fan of Disney movies. He has gone a step further though and has Lion King’s iconic saying “Hakuna Matata” tattoo on his”biscepsuals”. His knuckle tattoos of “Zero” and “Hero” are also a nod to Disney’s Hercules.
Along with his wrestling regularly Donnie T is also infamous for his social media exploits. These include reviews of movie, exciting adventures and my favourite, haircuts…
